Meet & Greet with Pels

Meet & Greet with Pels

We had a chat with Lifestyle’s newest PT Pels to see what makes her tick and find out about a new 8 week challenge she has starting soon!

Why did you decide to become a fitness trainer?

I enjoyed working out and living a healthy lifestyle, I decided it was something I was passionate about and something I wanted to pursue as a career.

Do you have fitness goals for yourself?
Yes, my overall fitness goal is to look after my body internally as well as externally so I will live a longer, healthier life.
Another goal is to ultimately build a physique that is worthy enough to step onto stage and compete as a body builder.
What do you love about your job?

I love that you get to help guide and support others to not only reach their goals but to educate them about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

How important is nutrition to you?

Nutrition is extremely important to me as it is ‘the key’ to creating different physiques and ultimately determine what kind of life you will live.

What is a popular exercise you give to clients and why?

Most often, I give clients compound exercises such as squats and dead-lifts to start off with as compound movements are multi-joint movements. This means they use more than one muscle at a time. Compound movements are more efficient than isolated movements (such as bicep curls or tricep extension) as isolated exercises only work one muscle at a time.
